Anais Nin~ Love’s Death

Anaïs Nin: A Biography

Image via Wikipedia

“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish it’s source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.”

Anaïs Nin (1903 – 1977)

  1. I just had this in my email as my signature!
It is so true. There are a ton of her quotes on GoodReads.com, a place I waste far too much time when thinking becomes unbearable.

Funny, I have two books on her in my “to be read” pile. I also like the two quotes-

“We do not see things as they are. We see them as we are.”

    &

“How wrong is it for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself?”
    — Anaïs Nin
